Every morning, 200 children in a Ugandan refugee community wake up hungry. Not just hungry for food—but hungry for focus, learning, and a future.
Right now, their classrooms are filled with empty stomachs. Coaches and caregivers are struggling to provide. A simple meal—just one cup of warm, nourishing porridge—can be the difference between despair and hope, between dropping out and showing up.
At Springboard Connectivity, we’ve partnered with local leaders who see these children every day. And together, we’re launching a new campaign to provide a daily breakfast to 200 kids—starting with a cup of porridge.
🍚 What Does It Cost?
It’s simple:
- $1 feeds one child for one day
- $30 feeds one child for a full month
- $6,000 feeds everyone for a month
We’re starting with porridge, but we dream of adding eggs and healthy fats—like coconut oil or butter—drawing from indigenous wisdom and nutritional research to build strong, vibrant bodies and minds.
This isn’t just about food. It’s about focus. It’s about a child’s ability to sit in class and learn. It’s about healing the trauma of growing up with not enough.
