Innovative Education Based in Enironmental Sustinability for Underserved Communities

At Springboard Connectivity, we know that education is the foundation of a healthy society. When children have equal opportunity to learn, develop and grow with quality tools and educational experiences, they have a greater chance at growing up to give to the world in meaningful ways and to feel fulfilled in their purpose. That is why education is one of the foundations of our work. We partner with and create education centers that foster learning about environemental stewardship, peace and cooperation, resilience, self awareness and critical thinking. We aim to develop problem solvers who can lead this world in a conscious way. A natural by-product of supporting quality education is population stabilization, meaning there will be less unwanted or unnecessary pregnancies and births.

Nakivale Refugee Camp Education Center - Uganda

We are happy to serve New Talent for the Best Future, a group of young “coaches” who are teaching 150 children at Nakivale Refugee Settlement in Uganda. They have basic structures to teach in and enough food to feed the children. We want to boost their experience so that the children can be in an equal playing field as children in developed nations. We gifted them six fruit trees and gave them a lesson on how to plant and care for their plants. We are fundraising to supply this school with computers, rainwater catchment systems, solar systems, Wi-Fi, garden and food forest start-up funds and a play ground.

Meet the children and coaches on this Instagram Video!

Malaha Village Education Center - Kenya

We have adopted Oliver’s village in Kenya and since digging a well there and starting to transform their water and food systems, we are now are committed to building an education center. The education center includes purchasing land and building an education center that will be free for the community. The education center will be built to enhance skills in problem solving, permaculture, renewable energy, computer literacy, global systems thinking and awareness, and business formulation and growth. All installations of power will be renewable such as solar panels and solar ovens or stoves. All installations will involve the community so as to provide learning experience and skill building. The learning center will be equipped with the highest level teachers and tools for extraordinary learning experiences. These teachers, we have already met through the programs at World Systems Solutions. We will contract them to implementing rolling year-round lessons and workshops. We have established and are training the Village Empowerment and Transformation Organization (VETO) to keep the education center running after it is built. All processes will be documented and educational material will be made available to share with anyone in the world who wants to embark on a village transformation of their own.
